I'm ready to press the buy button for a 24 man BC2 ranked server. I have the option to add a vent server on it as well (25 man) and I'm tempted. Do you think it would draw more players if I offered the vent server?

24 players is perfek! I've found playing with 32 is farr to hectic. The ping will be high for me but i will come along for a blast

Well if you know a lot of people that will play regular then its a good idea to get vent and it would be nice to throw down some commands at fellow tpc'ers if we were all to play xD

35 man Ventrilo server

The vent server is up and any of you can use it if ya want. The game server is on hold till EA/Dice have their servers fixed. Should be up at the start of the new week.

I have not created any rooms yet other than the default. If anyone here wants to use it I'm cool with that. One of the reasons I grabbed a 35 man server when all I needed was a 24 man.

I live in Riverside which is about 1.5 hours from LA.

I know my distance from you guys will hurt your pings but TBH it should be more than playable. I have already played on EU and AU servers and I had no problem kicking ass.

Damn you. I'll have to actually buy this game now.

leave it to EA to fuck things up. It seems their hardware was not up to par and could not handle all the traffic. While they fixed this issue they informed all game host server rental companies to not allow any more servers to go online. (They could still keep current servers running though).

As of right now EA has upgraded and installed all of their new hardware but they have not released our new servers yet.

So.... I bought it...own it...but can't use it till they (EA) say so. I'm told it should go live this week. As soon as it does I'll have to set it up and then post up the details.


As Lanky pointed out I do have a ventrilo server live right now which he posted the link to. I have not done anything with it yet. I want to create several rooms. It can be used though if you guys are playing online together and need a vent server to chat on.
